Parker will not sleep at the babysitters. He will not sleep in the pack and play. He will not sleep in the basement at Grandma Vancil's. He will not sleep upstairs at Grandma Stecher's. He is a picky sleeper....
but he will sleep on the floor with toys all around, a TV going, and gates up when he is not at home in his preferred sleeping spot..
So last night we put Parker to bed at 6:30 P.M..... in his clothes. Then at 8:00 P.M. we woke him up and put him in the car where he fell right back to sleep. At 9:15P.M. we put him in a stroller on top of a Rock Island parking garage, and rolled him through The District of Rock Island....crazy right?
This is how he woke up!
We went to Rock Island for Parker's 1st fireworks display. It was supposed to be a good one and we...I...was concerned he might not get to see them tonight because of the rain.
When the first firework went of with a BIG BOOM! Babies all around us started crying...but not Parker...he started looking around for the babies! He wasn't fazed in the least! When we finally got him to turn around he was mesmerized...we knew all those toys with lights and sounds would come in handy...
He did a really good job for it being 10 at night! The fireworks were FANTASTIC! They were supposed to be set to music, but where we were sitting you couldn't hear the music. It didn't matter though because the fireworks were huge and beautiful reflecting on the river! After fireworks Parker fell back asleep in the car before we were even out of the parking garage and slept all the way home. We put him back in his crib at midnight and he slept until morning!
We can't wait for the possibility of more fireworks tonight!
