Adjustments

After receiving our swing from the King School staff, Travis quickly put it together. You never know when this baby might decide to come. We decided to put the swing in the living room where we will most likely be.

Buddy's blanket needed to be moved from "his corner" in order to accommodate the swing. We just pushed the blanket aside in order to make sure the swing would fit.
Buddy is learning to adjust to the baby being here.....

It will be interesting to see him under here when the swing is moving! :)

Lombard Football

Tonight was Travis' first game as head Lombard football coach. They scrimmaged against Churchill. Travis was worried, but the kids looked really good! The teams agreed not to keep score, but both teams managed to make some touchdowns, and Lombard made a safety at the end.

Travis leading the "troops" to action!

Despite the way Travis looks, he really is excited!

Working on some plays

The coaches are working hard to get the guys in the right places

This kid ran 80 yards for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter! That was impressive!

Good Luck on a winning season coach!

Justin Gibbs' Wedding

This weekend Travis did something he swore he'd never do......he wore pink!
His good friend from way back Justin Gibbs got married and Travis was a groomsman. We had a great time and enjoyed spending time with our Rock Island friends whom we don't see enough of!
The colors were a bright fushia pink with black accents. I think he looks handsome in pink.
Justin and Erin have dated since Erin was in 10th grade!!!! Over 10 years! They are very happily sitting on a beach in Mexico today....lucky dogs!

Travis and Justin have been friends for a long time. They played on the line together for Rocky football, and Justin was a groomsman in our wedding. He's a great guy!
A long time ago Travis made a "Gibbs sandwich" with Justin and his brother Nathan. This is a remake of the original Gibbs sandwich. The red tint is from the lights on the dance floor.
Then the guys thought it'd be a great idea to make a "triple decker Gibbs Sandwich" using all 3 Gibbs brothers and a girl Stecher!

Travis and I enjoyed ourselves on our last weekend without worrying about a kid at home or with us or just worrying.

King School Baby Shower

Friday after school my co-workers at King thew me a baby shower. It was very nice of them to all get together on a Friday when everyone wanted to go home for the long weekend.
We had cake by Laura's Cake Creations. www.laurascakecreations.com YUMMMM! I even indulged which I shouldn't have with the diabetes, but I couldn't resist!
The staff was overly generous! We received our baby swing from the staff as a whole, as well as gift cards to Pizza Hut and Babies R Us from my first grade co-teachers. We also received some wall art, onesies, and a photo album from one of my reading recovery teachers. The PTO even got involved and gave us a bottle warmer, bottles, and bottle brush.
Again, we just want to thank everyone who is going overboard to help us prepare for this baby. We wouldn't know what to do with out everyone's support, friendship and well wishes!
