When good ideas go bad

I thought it'd be great fun to bundle him up in his snow suit, hat, blanket etc. and let him go out and expeirence snow....

For the record, we were outside for 4 minutes exactly.  We came inside ate 2 oz. of formula and went back to:

Gearing up!

Man I have had a busy end of the week!  First Grandma Stecher wore me out on Thursday.  Then, Grandma and Grandpa Van came and played and snuggled all day yesterday.  Last night I didn't sleep well, I was up at least 4 times.  My mom and dad lost count!  Then today, I woke up at 6AM and have been playing with mom and dad ever since.  They just gave me a bath and a bottle with some Karo syrup. Yawn....I think I might need to rest up.

Today my parents are going to a Chicago Bulls game, so I thought I'd wear this to show my support for their team.  Grandma Van is coming to stay with me.  I better get some rest, I think I'm going to have a busy day!

Ya gotta start somewhere

Parker has started to sit up by himself.  He doesn't do it regularly yet, and he's awful wobbley but he still does it.  Do you remember Weebles?  Weebles wobble but they don't fall down?....well, Parker wobbles and does fall down.  However, when he falls he thinks it's a riot!  He laughs and squeals! We think his little belly his causing him to be a little off balance, but hey

On a different note, I decided that it was time for me to start exercising.  Crazy right?  I figured it was time after I was jumping around the house in an attempt to get Parker to laugh and got so winded I had to sit down!

So tonight after school I decided I would start with an obtainable goal...just run around the block.  Did I mention I loath running.  I despise it.  My little legs were not built for running.  I would rather have blood drawn than run...but I ran.

Did I mention that we live on an incredibly LONG block!  I made it almost 1/2 around before I had to stop and walk to catch my breath.  Then I ran some more...walked some more...and finished running.  It took me 12 minutes to run around the block.  Most people can run a whole mile in like 7 minutes.  I have a long way to go but

Daddy Parker Day

Today was a daddy/Parker day.  I went with my good friend Sarah to Vintage Baby consignment store in Moline.  Everyone had a great day! Parker and Daddy played, exercised, listened to music.  Mommy and Sarah stumbled onto an "Everything in the store is an additional 50% off" sale!  Yippee!

Parker really does enjoy bathtime, although these photos don't show it he usually laughs and splashes so much that I decided tonight to try the tub.  Travis was the "photo recorder" for this great adventure...

Mmmmm Mmmmm Good!

Tonight was the best night for cereal yet! Parker really liked the thicker consistancy of the food and ate every last bite!

Yesterday before bathtime I had him naked in my arms heading to the tub....yes, yes, I can hear you experienced moms groaning because you know what's coming.  Suddenly I felt this warm sensation on my bellly, going down my shirt, down my pants.....yep, he peed on me right there right before bath time.

It's almost time to head to the tub, we are starting to like "playing" in the sink too much!

The Cupid Shuffle

One of Travis' good friends, Justin Gibbs,  taught me the "Cupid Shuffle" dance several years ago.  I love it!  I don't know why, but I do.  I did the "shuffle" at Justin Gibbs wedding while pregnant with Parker.  Now Parker is now learning the Cupid Shuffle in honor of Valentines Day.

Rolling over and stuff

Parker rolled over for the first time by himself on Thursday morning.  Both Travis and I were able to see it before school.  He hasn't done it since. :)

He laughed the whole time!

On Saturday Grandpa Vancil came over to see Parker....I don't know who was more ingrosed in the TV...

We discovered that our stuffed sheep is super soft and fun to play with.  Parker enjoyed laying on his belly and "eating" the sheeps ears and fur.  He was not pleased when he started to slide off.
